The Integrated Laboratory is an academic facility with various potential hazards, making users’ understanding of safety and awareness of occupational safety and health (OSH) important aspects to consider. This study aims to analyze the level of safety understanding and OSH awareness among users of the Integrated Laboratory Building at Universitas Samudra. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collected through an online questionnaire involving 85 respondents consisting of students and lecturers from various study programs. The questionnaire used a five-point Likert scale and consisted of 10 statement items covering potential hazards, evacuation routes, fire extinguisher use, emergency procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE), reporting procedures, workplace cleanliness, and the need for regular emergency response simulations. The data were analyzed using frequency and percentage distributions for each statement item. The results showed that most respondents had a good understanding of potential hazards, evacuation routes, emergency response procedures, and the importance of PPE. However, understanding of fire extinguisher use and consistent use of complete PPE still needs to be strengthened. In addition, 80.0% of respondents gave positive responses regarding the need for regular emergency response simulations. These findings indicate the need to strengthen safety education through practical training and regular emergency simulations to improve preparedness and support a safety culture in laboratory settings.
